- So, what is Blogdigger Local?
Blogdigger Local is a powerful tool for finding blog and news content from the geographic location of your choice. Blogdigger Local uses geographic categorization technology to dynamically create pages of blog posts and news within a specific distance of any geographic location. You can view the results page on the Blogdigger Local site, or subscribe to an RSS or Atom feed of the latest posts in your news aggregator, so that you will automatically be updated of new posts from your area of interest.
- OK, how do I use it?
Blogdigger Local takes two parameters. The location field ("Where") is required. This should be a city/state (e.g. Baltimore, MD or New York NY) or US Zip Code (e.g. 10033). The optional search field ("What") allows you to filter your search by keyword. A Blogdigger Local search for What:"Red Sox" Where:Boston, MA would find all posts in and around Boston, MA that mention the phrase "red sox." A Local Search which does not specify a value for the What field will simply return all the posts in and around the specified location. For example, a Blogdigger Local for Where:21209 will return the most recent posts in and around Pikesville, MD.
